I just can't contain it!  Probably because my daughter was born very close to Yule.  Happy Yule everyone!

    Merry Meet )O(

    Saturday, November 17, 2007, 10:22 PM [General]

Merry meet.  I am a 22 year old.  I'm married.  I have a daughter named Gita Jayanti.  She is 10 1/2 months old.  My husband is 49.  I was Pagan from the time I was 14 and continued until around age 20.  I tapered off gradually into Hare Krishna.  I am now tapering back into Paganism.  I missed the feeling of unity with nature.  I missed the celebration of the seasons (especially Beltaine).  I missed the feeling that God and Goddess are within nature, not in some distant place, some other spiritual world, far away.  That the spiritual world is indeed intertwined with the material world.  There are a lot of aspects I still believe in from Hare Krishna, but nothing that doesn't fit perfectly with Paganism.  Oh yes, and the biggest thing I missed about Paganism: the idea that men and women are equal, that feminine energy is JUST as important as masculine energy.  Hare Krishnas (and Hindus in general) actually have a rite/sacrement you're supposed to do while your pregnant to obtain a male child.  I didn't do that rite, I wanted a girl!

I don't feel inclined to bash any religions or beliefs, nor do I feel inclined to attempt to convert anyone.  I feel inclined to live and let live.  To live in harmony with nature and all the beings present within nature.  I am vegetarian because of that.  I believe that animals also have souls, that they also reincarnate.  I believe that we can reincarnate as animals and animals will eventually reincarnate as humans.  The soul is the same in all living beings.  And eventually, I believe we will obtain a spiritual body and not have to be reborn anymore.
