    I gotta quit again

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 08:54 PM CST [General]

I have seen so many reasons to quit smoking presented to me, and really I have been a real stickler when it comes to not smoking in public and listeneing to my better half in the situation, but you know there are a few things that really piss me off about smoking.

    1. When I smoke a half a cigarette, I decide well I am not going to buy any for a few days and do something productive like write you guys, instead of doing other things.

    2. When I smoke half a cigarette, well, I go back after I do not have any more and light the other half.   But you know the other half is the deadliest part because there is less filter and all the good stuff gets in towards the filter.

    3. I was thinking that less smoking, more cuddly cuddle time, and eventually things will come around.

    4. When I am quitting and doing good, the smokes are cheap and easy to get.   When I am like the heck with it, I can't get unhooked, they get really hard to buy, expensive, and all the places I like to get them are closed when I have scoured the house for change for them.   It is a real entertaining event to see me go for my much anticipated repreaval.

    5. I just want to cry, knowing that they are so time consuming, when I see the ashtray/(I like to think of it as a trophy).

    6. You heard of the patch right?  I tried that but then, I was like they don't have as many selections of the patch, they are just plain o' generics.   I like full flavor, and menthol, or lights too.   Maybe one day I would like some spank my bronchioles with tar and nicotine, the next, I might just want one that goives me that second hand effect, it just depends.

    7. I have to explain why I am mad, even when I am not mad about smoking.  I've always been mad, mad for years.   Absolutely and utterly mad about it.   I was mad in second grade when I had to see the ones that had an expiration date on them.

    8. And you know, this is just a hissing gas about smoking to me, many people (including me) worry about being a statistic in it all, huingry natinos, smoke a spliffy, kiss a butt, what ever you call it, and maybe you missed P, B and J will get to someone else less fortunate.    With all the cottony tobacco rolls I it up, I done fed every misguided child in your nearest third world nation, or 2nd world nation, if you can name any of them.   There is a good behind it too you know?

What does a person in my situation do to get away from it all?   Well, I thought that I could paint, draw, or make some more beautiful art to leave behind after get evicted, convivted, emigrated, or incarcerated, or graduated, whichever comes first, and takes the least time, money, and effort from whoever is in charge these day of those things besides me.  I left some art in  a coffee shop once, and it was a nice gift to some good acquaintances.

I say all's well that ends well.  Maybe scentual attraction will be stronger than eye candy one day, and sensual attraction can develop into a good thing that includes less absence of back and legt massages in my pitter patter of dreams and R.E.M. (not the band) sleep.

But anyways until later.  Come up with your own reason to quit, or keep going.

    "P"eeeeeeee!

    Thursday, December 4, 2008, 11:50 PM [General]

    P's of gratitude!

Powerless... over people, places, things, situations... I am powerless, and I am grateful to know this today!

Prayer... I pray pray pray... morning, noon, night, and inbetween... I change my conversations with me, to ones with God!

Promises... When I got here, I thought they were a scam to keep me coming back... I thought they had to be blown out of proportion... but today I know better... I grateful to know The Promises in my life today!

Painstaking... yes, "If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness." I'm grateful for the work that it takes for this truth today!

    Program... of Alcoholics Anonymous!!!!!!

Perspective... is something that I can change today! When something doesn't set well with me, I can look at the thoughts preceding the feeling... changing my thoughts is changing my perspective... thus I have a choice of feeling today!

People... I don't have to run from people anymore... I am grateful to like... actually enjoy People today... You people are way cool!

Passion... I am grateful to have real passion's today... healthy passion's... from my heart and soul... I have an intense passion for this way of life... and I can even feel passionate!

Peace... The gift of Peace and serenity... despite life... is a gift that words don't really describe... a special depth!

Play... I am grateful to have found the child inside of me... to be able to blow bubble's laying on my back in bed... play in a puddle after the rains... make mud pies and sand castles... play in the night with flashlights... fly a kite on the beach... slide down an ordinary slide... kick a ball... chase a dragonfly... laugh... for no special reason... just to be able to laugh... and Play is a wonderful gift today!

    BIG EAST FOOTBALL

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 09:48 PM EST [General]

Halftime Rutgers 49 Louisville 0. Mike Teel 6 1st half TD passes. Rutgers 468 total yards. As I stated 2 days ago UC needs to enjoy Coach Kelly now because when he leaves and eventually he will the next chapter wont be as pretty. Eventually when one of the big boys come calling and they will his ego will not allow him to stay at UC.

Air Jordan Basketball Shoes - Change Your World!

    Thursday, December 4, 2008, 08:46 PM [General]

Nike is a company which basic politics is to provide the customers only with high quality things and it has never produced cheap sportswear. As a rule, their main technique is a support of the famous sportsmen, such as Lebron James, Jermaine O'Neal, Tiger Woods, Michael Schumacher and many others. People believe that such persons appreciate everything first rate and you will buy only high quality product if follow their advice.

Thus the Air Jordan basketball shoes changed the world and have become one of the most popular brands of sportswear. It is even impossible how long this brand continue to exist. Even when Micheal Jordan retired, Air Jordan basketball shoes remained to be popular and the company continued to re-released previous models.

But the people reassure us that the famous sportsman even refused to sign a contract with this company, saying that he will never wear this "devil's shoes". Everything is just because of their color. Just imagine, in 1984, the year when the first Air Jordan shoes were released, it was very extravagant to wear sports shoes with color scheme where red and black predominate. But the designers were not mistaken and these new Air Jordan basketball shoes created boom in this industry.

Nowadays we may buy different models of Jordan retro shoes. Luxurious Air Jordan basketball shoes III, functional model number VII, low-cut XI version... Choose among the bright colors and appropriate style. Though there are a lot of different online shops we offer you advice to buy the jordan shoes only after trying them on. Thus you will be sure that this model is really convenient for you and you enjoy such a luxury!

    They keep getting better

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 09:40 PM EST [General]

Last night showed me again that the heels are far and away the number 1 team in the nation. MSU played a pretty good game and was able to keep it close for a while, but Carolina was too deep and talented. To beat them by 35 and have 93 points with more than 3  minutes to go says something. Keep in mind they are missing their best defensive player in Ginyard.

The one key that has lacked this team for 3 years now is defense. They seem to have caught on to what Roy W has been preaching and are playing some really good team D.

Davis continues to impress me and drew seems to have the calmness of a junior.

I will say this though I've not seen too much of Uconn this year to know how they look, but they have size and would be the one team right away to challenge the heels. Duke doesnt scare me, because coach K only recruits 3 point shooters and as always, they have a bad game in the tourny and no big man to rebound or play d and of course they lose.

Aside from Uconn, have not been able to watch a whole lot of the top 10, but if things continue to play out, should be cutting down the nets again baby.

    12/02 & 12/03 leagues

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 08:38 PM CST [My League Bowling]

I had a good week this week.

Tuesday, I started off bad and had a 151 game. I realized that I was not hitting the line hard and that I was not being aggressive in my delivery.

So I made the adjustment to be more aggressive. The result?

Game 2: 8 strikes in a row followed by a high ball in frame 9 that left the 4 pin. I covered it and went Strike-Spare in 10th frame for a 269.

Game 3: 9 strikes in a row followed by another high ball and left a 6-10 which I covered. I was a bit pissed and threw a half assed ball that left a 3-6-10 for a 275 game.

Two opportunities at a 300 in back to back games. Back to back 300's has been done only twice in my local association and I could have been the third. If I didn't have that bad first game, who knows, I could have had an 800. Final series:695

Wednesday, I shot decent in games of 224, 247, 225, 193 for a 4-game 890 series. The first 3 games was a series of 697. So I was one open frame away in both series from shooting back to back 700's.

On Tuesday, the shot was awesome. I really didn't have to make any major adjustments other than to just throw more aggressively. I basically shot the same line all 3 games using my Thunderstruck.

But on Wednesday, even though it was oiled the same, it still was different. I had a bit of a time trying to get the ball to hook into the pocket. Even though I was as aggressive as the night before, the ball just didn't hit the pocket hard as it did the night before. I was lucky to come away with the 224, 247, and 225 games. I moved one board to the right to start game 2..it worked for a while, but it broke down again in game 4 and I only had 75 in an open 5th frame. Finally, I brought out the Terminator and moved back to the left and threw it outside as it had oil on the inside.

I made the run to come back from the 75 in the 5th frame to finish with the 193 game. I should have started with the Terminator in the first place.

But all in all, it was a good week and could have been a great week if I didn't make the mistakes that I did.

I also took over the lead for the average title on the Wednesday league. Before last night, I think I was like 25 pins behind the leader with a 221 average. But the leader had a bad day with a 775 series and with my 890 series, that put me in the lead by slightly over 100 pins with 16 weeks to go in the season. 16 weeks. 64 games. 221 average. Plenty of bowling to do yet, but I still feel good about my chances to win my first ever average title. I just gotta stay consistent and not get into a slump.

Past Few Days - A Shorty

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 08:36 PM CST [General]

Sometimes short blogs take the pressure off those really detailed longer blogs, that must really scare me..  and probably some readers!  So let me try a shorty here.

Interesting events over the past few days:

~My ex called me after no contact for 4+ months.  Not sure why.  Or if I'll call him back.  Yet, my new beau is not calling me back.   ?    I tell ya!  More trouble than they're worth!

~My aunt is slowly slowly getting better and more coherent.  We know that she recognizes us now, but she seems to go in and out of understanding things we say to her.  One good sign though, her sense of humor is back!  A key ingredient to getting better!

~Went for a visit to one of my favorite friend's restaurant.. she kicked me out before my usual leaving time.  ha.

~I'm reading a great book "Mother Warriors" by Jennifer McCartthy about her son's battle with autism and his eventual CURE.

~I repaired yet another squirrel-made hole in my roofline.  Better step up my efforts on the prevention front!  I have yet to blog the entire Squirrel Saga.  It will come.

~My cat's all up in my face.  But, she's so cute that I barely care.

~Had a friend come to town and stay overnight on my couch.  Why is it that I can only stand about an hour of this guy!?  Cuz, he's SOoooo difficult!  (Jen, you know!)

~I missed half of Survivor tonight because I took a really soothing and much-needed bath.  Sometimes water is just what you need.

~Now, I'm off to conquer of one of these projects staring me in the face!

What have you been up to ?

    NO RESPECT!!!!!!

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 09:33 PM EST [General]

Yo "WWE Fans" you guys got no respect to the real people of this industry, the people I am talking about are the fans during the time of the Attitude Era and I bet when I say that word you "fans" probably say what the heck is that?Well the attitude era was a time in professional wrestling when it was exciting and original and now its all bland.  The fans have been replaced with little kids and teenage girls who all scream when the "almighty John Cena" comes to the ring well your champion John Cena ain't nothin, and that guy can barely wrestle always remember that.
